Despite its immense potential to usher in a new age of sensory and cognitive experience, many people fear super intelligent machines — machines with intelligence that surpasses human intelligence.
Certainly, if we succeed in creating a super intelligent machine but continue to be challenged by accelerating technological change with lagging social progress, fears are reasonable. If our society fails to make significant social progress super artificial intelligence is likely to cause numerous problems.
